Introducing the Application

The Smart Kitchen application is a real-time kitchen management system designed to optimize back-of-house operations. It provides direct, organized visibility over customer orders, ensuring seamless communication between POS systems and kitchen staff.

Smart Ordering

How Orders Work

Orders go through multiple statuses during the preparation phase. Each is color-coded for quick kitchen staff recognition.

Placed Order: New order placed from kiosk or smart menu.

Active Order: after clicking on the green "Active button" the order becomes Active, meaning currently being prepared.

On Hold (Blue): Order is temporarily paused.

Order Done

Order Done: after clicking on the green "Done" the order passes to the history and becomes Done.

  • History (Yellow): Orders completed or aborted. Subtypes include:
    • Done Orders
    • Canceled Orders (Red: admin-canceled)
  • Order Done

  • Delayed Order (Orange/Red): Orders delayed to serve or complete turn into yellow, then red if the delay time is very important.

  • Features

    Multi-Station Displays

    Items from each order are routed to relevant restaurat stations/tables (e.g., T1: grill, salad, desserts, T2: capputccino, water...) to minimize clutter and preparation overlap.

    Real-Time Order Updates

    Orders appear instantly upon confirmation from POS, allowing chefs to start preparation without delay.

    Cloud Management

    Administrators can access all kitchen order data from any browser-enabled device to make changes or review operations remotely.

    POS Integration

    The Smart Kitchen Application integrates seamlessly with Smart POS and Kiosk systems to receive orders instantly with full details.

    Customizable Views

    Kitchen staff can filter and view orders by preparation time, priority, or categories for faster processing.

    The “Smart Customer Display” shows kiosk order statuses in real time — whether they are in preparation or ready for pickup — as illustrated below:
